Oreo Cookie Cake

This cake has crushed Oreos in the filling and looks like a giant Oreo when finished. To make the entire cake you need to use either Cool Whip or our Cool Whip recipe and two round Devil's food cakes. If you do not want to make your own cakes you can also use boxed cake mix.

In total you need:
2 round cakes - Devil's food cake
4 squares of semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 cup butter
8 oz of plain cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups Cool Whip
12 Oreo cookies

Beat the cream cheese and the sugar in a bowl.

Crush the Oreo cookies.

Fold the Oreos into the mix.

Add the cool whip.

Spread the Oreo Cool Whip mix onto one cake.

Cover with the other cake round.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl for two minutes on high. Let cool about five minutes and then spread over the top of the cake.

Decorate as desired and let set for at least 10 minutes. Refrigerate until served.

This recipe is adapted from Kraft.
